There are 4 ways to promote your book on podcasts. You can listen to podcasts like this one to improve your skills, you can be a guest on podcasts where you talk about your book, and you can even start your own podcast. Today we are going to talk about the 4th way to use podcasts to promote your book: Podcast Advertising.
I mentioned podcast advertising briefly in our episode about Audiobook Promotion. Audiobooks are great products to promote on podcasts and I don’t think you pay for podcast ads for a book that does not yet have an audio version.
Can podcasting be an effective place to advertise?
Well, let me put it this way, last month podsights, presented some research to the International Advertising Bureau’s on a study they did of 532 campaigns run by 232 brands. They found that on average $1000 spent on podcast ads returned $2,420. That is a better ROI than you are likely to find in most other places.
So would podcast advertising be a good fit for you and your book? And if so, how do you get started?
This is what we will talk about in this episode of Novel Marketing, the longest-running book marketing podcast in the world. This is the show for writers who want to build their platform, sell more books, and change the world with writing worth talking about.
I am Thomas Umstattd, Jr. CEO of Author Media and today we are joined by a special guest. She is the host of the Podcast Advertising Playbook which is a podcast all about podcast advertising. She is the CEO of True Native Media which is a company that connects podcasters and advertisers. She helps podcasts find advertisers and she also helps advertisers find podcasts to sponsor.
She is also the host of the Podcast Advertising Playbook which is a podcast I listen to and recommend.
